The 5th Robotics Day Vorarlberg, organized by the Department of Business Informatics, took place on 2 October 2024. The organizing team, consisting of Dr. Florian Maurer and Helena Hosp from the FHV, welcomed interested students and alumni of the FHV at illwerke vkw in Bregenz. A guided tour of the Rieden substation was followed by selected keynotes that showed how intelligent systems can take over high-risk tasks and optimize operational processes. The speakers presented the latest developments in the areas of digitalization, automation and innovation to the participants. The focus was on digital transformation projects aimed at improving the logistics, efficiency, safety and sustainability of the energy supply. The aim is to use digital technologies to make energy generation more environmentally friendly and future-proof. 
In addition, the fifth Robotics Day Vorarlberg offered insights into the latest developments and applications in the field of innovation and digitalization at illwerke vkw. The focus was on innovative approaches to digital transformation in the areas of hydropower, grid, supply logistics, services and IT. The event provided valuable insights into the strategic orientation of illwerke vkw and showed how the company is successfully mastering the challenges of the energy industry through innovative solutions.
