The 6th Robotics Day Vorarlberg, organized by the Department of Business Informatics, took place on 16.10.2024. The organizing team, consisting of Dr. Florian Maurer and Helena Hosp from the FHV, welcomed interested students and alumni of the FHV at Heron / Servus Intralogistics GmbH in Dornbirn. The event offered participants an insight into the Servus Intralogistics modular logistics system. Through the interface-free automation of warehouse and production logistics, Servus Intralogistics increases performance, efficiency and speed along the entire value chain. The interplay of modern hardware and intelligent software defines future-proof intralogistics. The Robotics Day Vorarlberg focused on innovative solutions such as the ARC5, the world’s most energy-efficient transport robot, and the Servus PickStation. After a tour of the company and an inspiring presentation by Christian Beer, CEO and owner of the Heron Group, the participants were invited to develop their own intralogistics concepts. This hands-on challenge was based on a real business case in which the participants, supported by experts, gained practical insights into the automation of warehouse and production logistics. The sixth edition of Robotics Day Vorarlberg offered an interactive platform for getting to know modern logistics technologies and experiencing their benefits in terms of efficiency, performance and speed along the value chain.
